Medical Device - LVAD Patient Simulation Test System

An automated system to check the LVAD (Left Ventrical Assist Device) for functionality prior to being distributed after manufacturing.  This project was a major accomplishment as it allowed the company to test every device prior to shipping and FDA standards.

Medical Device - Component Wear Test System

A system designed to test the integrity of a low friction coating on a small metal part. A linear/rotary voice coil actuator is used to press and rotate a probe around the coated surface of the part to simulate its intended function in the overall device.

Medical Device - Lead Screw Thread Inspection System

A system designed to inspect machined threads on a small diameter lead screw for damage caused by subsequent manufacturing processes.

Medical Device - Housing Button Test System

An automated system designed to cycle test a button on a handheld electronic device. The system can detect the button in its released position then actuate it repeatedly while measuring its total travel distance.
